A Way to Make Iron on Extreme Starts

    I’m about to start a game with The North. Is there a small smelter or forge available? I’ve been wanting to have a go with Adam and Eve or RK’s extreme Solo start. A problem, for me, with “pack” mods is there are a bunch of great things, but something is always missing.

    And a way to make Iron from Ore has had me stumped. I like to RP a little, so I don’t gather Iron directly. If I can never melt Ore because every smelter or forge that I’ve come across requires Iron. That means I have to last long enough to trade for Iron. Blah, blah, blah…

    To end this rant, if there isn’t a smelter, forge or blacksmith that doesn’t require Iron, could you make one?

    There is also an A+E start in the North and they can smelt iron ore in the old way using a bloomery. The ore is either gathered or mined.
