    YEAR 34 and 35

much of our plans got put on hold as 61 survivors arrived.38 workers with 23 children.4 couples will work the north firebreak. they will cut trees, hunt and collect food there.2 couples will move near the boathouse. we’ll extend our fishing and grow rice and cranberries.5 couples will extend our crop fields and tend to the pigs.the others will make coffee and breakfast for the miners. the Amish built another church.

the trade post traded for longhorn cattle. we lost 2 bannies during child birth.we still need 6 houses for the survivors at the QZ.

there were several single teens in that last group of survivors. they moved with some of our graduates. even so, we need 16 houses for 25 workers. 20 laborers and 10 builders will be enough to support the community.the bannies want a butcher and bakery. we will need to expand the forest operations to support a furniture joiner. we finally have enough charcoal to build the RK foundry.a CC glassworks was completed. it will be needed to make glassware for pickles.an RK wooden chapel was built as well.

we acquired sugar beet and potato seed.

workers are sent to stock the wharehouse. there are furniture, pottery, and candles to move. another boiler is needed to process the maple sap. a CC weaver will process flax into linen. the bannies plow more fields. they started the process of cleaning up minerals and trees throughout the community.

a coffee house, barber, and other shop houses were built near the community center.the production and storage district expanded near the Amish church. more markets and a meat dryer have been finished. counting 1 house still being built, we only need 1 more house for our graduates. while they work on the cleanup ,the banies have aded some parks and decorations.

we traded for red dairy cows and some chickens.

    YEAR 40 REVIEW

population 542,in 124 houses. 1 group of 61 survivors arrived over the last decade. the small community has grown. farms stretch across the north and south. there are 4 churches. the wharehouse stores candles, pottery, and furniture. there’s a mill for the oat flour, a butcher for bacon, maple syrup, a coffee greenhouse, and a meat dryer.we make pancakes, bread, and oatmeals.

that was a busy decade. we traded for pigs, longhorns, red dairy cows, chickens, and oat ,sugar beet, and potato seeds.

goals- before we start on the east side of the community, i want to catch up some things. there is lots of clean up to be done and deocrations to add. we also need to further extend the firebreak zone. a mine is needed for tin ore. the bannies would like some pickles and jams to be processed.

36 survivors were located and escorted to the Quarantine Zone.23 workers with 13 children.over half of them will extend the firebreak meadows and forests. by select cutting the old trees, they will lessen the risk of fires.the grass fields will help insure that no forest fires reach the community.

a mine was dug for tin ore. the bannies doubled the width of the bridges across the river to the north. more beekeepers along the meadows will supply more honey and beeswax.

a CC preservist is completed to make our pickles.an RK butcher cuts pork chops. 2 more markets will keep the houses and production areas supplied. the bannies have worked on cleanning up throughout the communtiy over the last decade.at the same time they planted lilacs, flowers, and other decorations. a colonial school saves the north children the long walk during the cold winter months.

we need more clothing and tools. 2 shops will supply the north forest workers. there are so many flowers. we have been dumping them out with the trade post. the women decided to make perfume soap to use more flowers up. we had to increase the sand and glassware outputs to support this and the preservist.

    YEAR 50 REVIEW

population is over 800. we have 185 houses. we took in 1 large group of 36 survivors. a total of 240 bannies have been located and went through the Quarantine Zone. our search team reports that many died from the pandemic. more perished during the harsh winters and others starved from lack of food. in their travels, they have seen towns that died together and other towns where the young did survive. some were ravaged by mis kept fires. others stripped lumber from houses and used all the furniture to keep a fire as long as they could. the team says there are more wild animals to hunt now than in the earlier years. they do keep watch during the night for packs of hungry dogs. cats…? many died during the rabies outbreak. the rest were killed to stop it.

the traveling merchants have brought news from far off lands. from the cities there are rumors of slavery by gangs. they do report less wars and fighting now since there is less resources to be gained from it. whole cities along the Great River were wiped out from flooding. with nobody maintaining the dams there was no warnings. there are still carriers of the virus. signs are posted near towns to warn the merchants to avoid them.

our harsh quarantine tactics have paid off. a couple bannies got a cold many many years ago but nobody has ever died of the virus here. we have lost some to accidents or cave ins at the mines. a few died during childbirth. our oldest bannie turned 82 and many others are in their 70’s.

the community is 75% completed. our firebreak zone of meadows and forests provied hay for our livestock and plenty of logs to keep everyone warm.the R&D’s conservation methods have kept us supplied with meat, berries, and herbs. it encircles all but the east of our community. everyone is well fed and supplies with tools and clothing. we make our own shoes, tinware, stews, soups, jams and pickles. we have perfume soap, liquer, beer, and cider vinegar.

goals- the men have requested boots so we need to expand on EB’s leather chain. we also need to increase the furniture output. a pie bakery and a creamery are also planned. we do need to breed more cows and chickens. by year 60, we will be close to 500 workers and over 250 houses and 1000 total bannies.

to avoid crowding the churches, a large KID WW chuch is built in the south forest. 2 stone schools will help teach the forest children. an RK corner shoemaker will use furs to make warm boots. we don’t have wool to line the leather boots. a 2nd furniture shop will help stock the wharehouse. the CC small market works to move supplies for production but sometimes doesn’t store enough food. a fish and food market south of the river helps keep everyone stocked. 5 houses were built and the laborers worked to clear land for the east farms.

a White Swan tavern stores cider for the workers. the Amish built the 1st farm to the east. a mill and grainary were completed. counting the 4 QZ hostels, the builders have built 200 houses. our laborers are busy clearing land for the north east production zone.

    YEAR 52

there is an issue with the Gatherer Wharehouse. it won’t store the RK perfume and boots. the CC resource depot is a 1.06 mod so it might not store the items either. if it does not, we will designate it as a museum for the children to see what life was like before the virus ravaged society. and then another trade post will be built to store the extra items.

the R&D’s practices of nuturing the maple trees has paid off. we have enough sap for a 3rd sap boiler. another pig butcher will make sausages and an RK corner bakery makes apple pies.while the laborers open up more land, the builders extend the firebreak zone. the bannies even had time to build more shops at the town center.

a wagon master does store the boots for the wharehouses. we traded for tobacco seeds.

    YEAR 54

the population has grown so fast ,we need another chuirch. a sugarbeet refinery and a jam shop were completed. a 2nd Sherbrooke farm will supply the new processors. the community built another candle shop and coffee greenhouse as well.

the R&D office has a report. now that trees are cleared from the meadows more workers are needed to help haul the logs. this will increase the firewood and furniture outputs. more firewood will allow us to smoke the excess beef. the bannies want to plant more gardens and raise more chickens. every bannie will be given a canteen to drink out of or use as a soup bowl and the women all want a rug for every house. these will be added to the community wharehouses. merchants will haul away the excess flowers and seedlings. we will need a larger trading post to store them. the meadow workers want help picking berries and the bannies want more walnuts also.

we build 2 log depots to move the logs. several RK carts will help haul the logs even closer for the wood cutters and furniture shops. combo gatherers were sent to help at the meadows. while the banies plant more gardens, materials are hauled for a ketchup factory and a tailor. the firewood improvements will support the new smokehouse.

with the new babies born this year, our population is now over 1000.
