Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this amazing adventure. I’ve played for hours and hours with Banished: The North. :)
I am wondering if you would consider updating your tailor shop to also include the ability to make parkas? I am unsure if it has remained an ability only for the campfire for historical reasons. If not, I think it would be great to have it all in one place.

it was indeed the idea to have parkas as a hunter item in early game and not so much for real tailors in developed towns. In the preview mod I also did not add parkas to be more compatible with other scenarios where reindeer hides are not available. If you play in the North, it’s of course still interesting to make them also later. Some people find them too strong as warm coat or too cheap compared to other clothes and to keep this recipe at the campfire with slow work speed and firewood consumption is a way to balance it a bit. Another idea is to change it to fair quality or to increase the number of hides. I have to decide this soon because North 7 is going to be a test version.

I think it would be better to put the Quality of the Parkas to Fair, because they are a little bit to strong as you say.
Or maybe you make two versions of the Parka, a cheaper one for early game with fair quality for the campfire and one for the tailor with good quality and the need of a second resource like the winter coat or double the amount of hides. Parka / Winter Parka or Warm Parka.
I thought about something like this to replace the reindeer parka as early game clothing at the campfire. A simple Hide Cape or Deerskin Cape with fair quality, reasonable to craft by hunters independed of a professional tanner or tailor. The parka can stay in game as suggested or imported by merchants (those who come from northern outposts).
Jea good Idea, but i would also increase the number of hides a little bit for the Parka if you make them craftable for the tailor.
I will calculate it over all new tailor recipes if the parka is still producible. On first glance, 3 hides would be minimum to give enough way to other clothes.
