I’ve been having a lot of trouble trying to manage my salt and sugar inventory. The villagers want to take all of it back to their homes, which prevents my sauerkraut, dairy, and jam workshops from being able to produce.

What I’ve been doing is stockpiling sugar and salt in my trading post/docks, and doling it out 100 units at a time whenever a workshop needs it. However, I often find that this makes the vendors very confused, and they wander back and forth carrying the salt or sugar between the nearest barn and my market. By the time my workshop worker gets the salt/sugar, harvest is long over and there are no more cabbages/blueberries.

TL;DR: How are you managing your salt and sugar for your workshops?

    Hi kalrnux,

Actually salt and sugar are inedible resources in the North to avoid exactly this problem. They are counted in the Salt or Additive category of overview and townhall statistics. If your salt and sugar are stored in homes there must be another mod above overwriting both as foodstuff. In this case I recommend to change mod order or to not combine these mods.

    Let me know :)
