One more thing I want to test in beta v3 but forgot to mention is trying to get rid of that unrealistic health issue in early game. So let’s just start a topic for it here.
The problem is caused by that “my plate” principle in Banished where grain is needed to stay healthy and in most starting conditions, hearts drop down even if they could not have a better diet than they actually have.
Some time ago I had a more complete overhaul of food in mind (was not fully convincing) but a part of it should work also as a small tweak. Added is now a secondary grain flag for blueberries (and cherries for consistency) to let them fully complement a hunter-gatherer diet together with some gathered vegetables. It’s logical if “grain” is taken as a carb rich food category where berries fit in containing a lot of sugar. The only side effect is some berries landing in trading docks when auto-purchasing grain. This can be avoided by removing them from imports at all and it would be not even unrealistic.
Will be nice to know if this effect is noticeable and if you like it.
