First time playing Banished and im doing survivor north mod

So from what i understand Charcoal pile makes 12 charcoal from 16 firewood
Tar kiln does the same amounts of charcoal from 16 firewood and still makes tar.
Maybe the work time is different?
Where can i see working time of all process?

Yes, the charcoal pile produces charcoal faster. Worktime is not a simple number here and output of the tar kiln can be quite random, but in average it is +50% faster. I will make a note on the wiki page.
