Turf or Sod is grass and the soil beneath that banished people have to remove from the ground when preparing a building site. In the North, they often use it to cover roofs of log constructions or to build complete houses together with some wood and stone, the so called Turf Houses. Turf is handled as imaginary material which means it is not seen on stockpiles or counted in resource management and it can’t be traded.
