Wealthy people of the North don’t like to wear simple tunics all the day and especially in winter they want some better garment. The best a banished Norseman can wear is a combination of a woolen overtunic, a nice undertunic of Linen, a long cloak of wadmal and warm boots to keep the feet warm in ice and snow. The winter clothes of stockbreeders further north and on Iceland consist of a woolen tunic, leather boots and a thick sheepskin cloak. Don’t be stingy with materials and let your people make some warm winter clothes. They will thank you with more efficient work.
